SKYDEL SIMULATION ENGINE
Skydel a fully-featured, software-defined GNSS simulator
Skydel software from Safran Electronics & Defence provides a rich set of features to test GNSS receivers, including multi-constellation/multi-frequency signal generation, remote control hardware in the loop, and integrated interference generation.
It provides the comprehensive coherent User Interface and generates the GNSS signals using the GPU/SDR hardware combination.
Most parameters can be controlled and configured during simulation runtime.
Get the best of both worlds
The Skydel Simulation Engine offers the best of both worlds: the performance you expect from a top-grade GNSS simulator, coupled with the economy of scale and flexibility of the GPU/SDR architecture.
Packed with a rich feature set including a 1000 Hz simulation iteration rate, remote control from user-defined scripts, and a virtually unlimited number of channels, the Skydel Simulation Engine offers unmatched flexibility and scalability.
And all of this, packaged in a well-thought-out user interface.
The Benefits Of A Software Controlled GNSS Simulator
Traditional GNSS simulators require dedicated customer hardware, which is expensive to develop and inflexible in operation. It can also be expensive to maintain and calibrate.
The Skydel Simulation Engine powers the GSG-8 GNSS Simulator which uses COTS hardware, and the processing power of GPU hardware to create GNSS signals digitally. The RF Signals are then produced by a standard Software Defined Radio (SDR) enabling unprecedented flexibility and control in a truly “value for money” platform.
